I'm still, very slowly, working on the sunshine afghan. But this gorgeous noro throw has been calling me for a while; so when I got a cash gift recently I knew that my no-new-yarn vow was going to be broken. I didn't buy Noro, though, since I wanted something machine washable and I found exactly what I wanted, plus it's discontinued so I got a good deal (and a lot of anxiety, I wanted to buy the whole stock because you know, it will run out). It's Lang's Colora, a wool-acrylic blend with the most beautiful colors.
So, here I am, making circles like a mad woman. As usual, I have massive gauge problems: I start with 12 DC, increase to 24 in the next round, and then I switch to increasing only 8 sts per round or I get a wobbly mess instead of a flat circle. I guess when I'm done I'll write a pattern for the poor gaugeless souls like me.

Looks absolutely beautiful. Can’t wait to see it all come together.
Hi Ana! These are beautiful. What gorgeous yarn. I love your circles. I have the same problem when I crochet circles. Good luck with writing the pattern.
Thanks! I'm glad you like them. I'm up to 28 circles right now and I
think I'll need 80.
Thanks for popping over The Cwtch 🙂 I can totally see why you are obsessively making those circles – they are GORGEOUS!!!!! I have made a few items with different Lang yarns and I love them – the colours are so beautiful and it feels nice to work with too.
I’ve a feeling I may have to make some circles like these at some point!

Such beautiful, soft colors. It seems like making these circles would feel very therapeutic. I’ve never crocheted before…it intimidates me! But I hear you about gauge. I know you’re supposed to always knit a test square first, but I never do and my gauge is inevitably off. 🙂
It really does feel therapeutic, it is so calming. Don't feel intimidated
by crochet! I did for years and when I finally took it up I was surprised
at how much easier than knitting it is.
Gracias.
